How we rank suppliers & prices
Transparency about where our data comes from and what the numbers mean.
What we do
Peptides Market is an independent comparison site. We don't sell anything and we don't take payment from suppliers. We scrape their public storefronts, normalise every listing into a comparable product, and show you the cheapest and the most trusted options side by side.
How the trust score works
Each supplier carries a 0–100 trust score built from the signals below. A higher score means more positive signals — it is not a guarantee of quality, and claims are supplier-declared unless independently verified.
- Lab tested — the supplier claims third-party (usually HPLC) testing.
- COA — a Certificate of Analysis is available from the supplier.
- Own lab — the supplier operates their own lab rather than only reselling.
- Reseller — reduces the score; resellers don't manufacture or test in-house.
You'll see these as badges on every supplier, for example: Lab testedCOA.
How price-per-mg works
A 5mg vial at R450 and a 10mg vial at R900 look different but cost the same per milligram. We divide the price by the dosage to give a fair per-mg figure — but only for milligram (mg) products. IU/ml products show a dash instead.
Where the data comes from
We scrape three storefront types — WooCommerce, Shopify and Wix — for a fixed list of South African suppliers. Every product title is normalised into a standard peptide, dosage, unit and format so listings are directly comparable. Prices are checked roughly every 12 hours.
For suppliers
We only index your public storefront, and we respect robots.txt. To stop us from crawling your store, add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: PeptidesMarketBot Disallow: /
A blanket User-agent: * with Disallow: / works too. To allow us, simply leave Peptides Market out of your disallow rules. If your robots.txt blocks us, we stop scraping and mark your supplier page as "not scraped".
What we can't verify
We surface supplier claims (lab testing, COAs) but do not independently audit them. Prices can be stale if a supplier's store is unreachable — we flag any failed scrape. Always confirm the COA and lab report directly with the supplier before ordering.
